Dr Phillip Aouad

Dr Phillip Aouad (PhD) received his PhD in 2020 from the University of Sydney, which examined the eating disordered behaviour Chew and Spit. Dr Aouad is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship with the InsideOut Institute. He is interested in eating disorder clinical research and the translation of research into practice and policy.
Dr Aouad has played a lead role in growing the institute’s Early Career Research program, which is focused on developing and supporting emerging researchers to reach their academic potential. Dr Aouad is a member of the Australian Psychological Society; the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders; and is currently serving as the Early Career Researchers Special Interest Group Co-chair for the global Academy of Eating Disorders and supervises and mentors students at different stages of their academic careers.
