Dr Moin Uddin Ahmed

Dr Moin Ahmed (BSc, MA, PhD) recently completed his PhD in Health Economics from Translational Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University, Australia. His research was focused on the costing aspect of diabetes-related foot disease in New South Wales for his PhD thesis.
Dr Ahmed is working as a Senior Health Economist at the University of Sydney. Since joining, he has been working on the quality assessment of existing economic evidence and developing health systems and economic models to inform decision-making about effective, cost-effective, and equitable access to health care for people with eating disorders. Prior to the role at the University of Sydney, he worked as a Lecturer of Economics at the Institute of Health Economics, the University of Dhaka, from 2013 to 2020. Dr Ahmed has published thirteen articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to eleven research reports. This research was focused on the issues of Health Economics, Development Economics, and Environmental Economics. Dr Ahmed worked as a research associate and independent consultant for a project based at Harvard Kennedy School with Professor Rohini Pande and Mahnaz Islam.
