shared table evaluation

In the home environment, the provision of Supportive Meal Therapy (SMT) falls to families/carers, which can be extremely challenging. Often causing them to become overwhelmed during the rehabilitation and maintenance phase, which can extend for long periods of time. SMT training and support for families and carers has not been readily available. Without the appropriate knowledge and skills, this can often lead to the individual being unable to increase or maintain weight at home, thereby perpetuating the hospital/home cycle.

This project will evaluate an online Supportive Meal Therapy training program for carers of people living with EDs. The Shared Table is a two-hour online training program to equip carers with the knowledge, skills and strategies to confidently deliver meal support.

The Shared Table is currently in recruitment. For more information, please visit the link below. Access is free for carers aged over 18 years old.
